I think this song is about a relationship, based on the lyrics.
I totally disagree when he says "you" I think he is referring to heroin, talking about the depth and struggle to keep crawling and moving through to find some meaning behind life in a world that seems meaningless.
But I've also thought when you think about it as if the song is being played in reverse this is a commentary on the Bush presidency and how the government is constantly putting me in front of you, while saying to us its you before me.
Trust me I met Jorgan Snolich in my buddies garage 7 years ago and asked him what it was about. He said something along these lines.
