Suggestions Lyrics

It just takes a second for my world to come crumbling down
Oh i'm sure in the distance you can hear that awful sound
Oh i plead for an answer, plead for an answer from you
But if you give me an answer, that just makes no sense then whats the use
And just like that my life is broken
I can barely breathe
and now i'm opened for suggestions
At the end of the day lifes a lesson

So why cant he see it form my point of view
And how many seconds in the houurs of a day did we lose
Was it me or his feelings, me or his feelings that day
Cause i just stood there in silence watched while my world blew away
And just like that my life is broken
I can barely breathe
and now i'm opened for suggestions
At the end of the day lifes a lesson
My lifes a lesson

Hollow, Hollow
Feelings in the air that i breathe that come over me
Now i'm open
Oh yes i'm open
For suggestions
Lifes a lesson
Now i'm free cause lifes a lesson

Oh why cant i see it from his point of view
And how many seconds in the hours will i make him lose
Oh he said it was him or the answer,it was him or the answer that day
Well i cant keep shouting answer, so what was the use anyway.

The song (taking the music video into account) is about her being in a relationship where the guy cheats on her, she confronts him and he attacks her violently. At the beginning of the video clip she is picking up a broken vase because he must likely used it against her in some form. During the song the lyrics change from 'life's a lesson' to 'my life's a lesson' this change is right after in the video clip he is choking her, so he didn't kill her saying her life is her lesson. Then the lyrics change again but this time the guy is the victim, literally. In the video clip it show her walking out of the front door at this symbolizing that she is finally free. Let' not forget this song is played during Pretty Little Liar season 1 episode 1 when they found 'Ai's' body (supposedly) and end of season 2 when they find Maya's body and in the video clip she opens her trunk and then flips open her phone which has a text from none other then 'A' saying 'have you left yet -A" then she drops the phone into the trunk and it I show that the guy is in there, dead!. So as just established it is about a relationship that went very wrong

This song is so beautiful. I love her voice! I think its about a broken relationship and all you feel when its over, wanting answers from the other person and wondering how you can go on. Pretty simple, but so pretty.

I think this song is about a bad break up that happened in only one day. "Was it me or his feelings that day" She wants answers on why it happened, she needs suggestions.

I cried so hard when they played this song during the season finale of Pretty Little Liars. Emily sobbing at the very end while they played this song really got to me.

I think its about a huge fight in a relationship. She was begging him to see from her point of view, but he didn't wait to listen to her. Nor did he bother to give her any answers. Its basically about the communication gap. She is wondering what went wrong where and now she needs suggestions on new perspectives.

My Interpretation

The song is taking about an abusive relationship. The lyrics don't have hidden meaning. they make sense and are straight to the point of her point of view of whats happening. she did a great job with the lyrics.
