London (Foolishly) Lyrics

Another foggy night in Londontown
All the dreamers are asleep
No one understands what I have found
No not even me

Foolishly I fall
To the obvious pattern of it all
Carelessly I stall
I think the change was a friend that never called
Tragedy is alright
When it means we count the blessings in our life
Could it be that I now stand corrected
Could it be that I now stand affected by this blinding light,
Oohoo
Blinding light

Big Ben breathing down my neck again
I feel my time is running out
All this baggage that I’m carrying
Its time to lay it down
Heyy

Foolishly I fall
To the obvious pattern of it all
Carelessly I stall
I think the change was a friend that never called
Could it be that I now stand corrected
Could it be that I now stand affected

A cup of tea on my own tonight
Now I’m changing by this blinding light, yeahh

Foolishly I fall
To the obvious pattern of it
Carelessly I stall
I think the change was a friend that I never called
Could it be I now stand
Could it be that I’m changed by this blinding light
Blinding Light

Cover art for London (Foolishly) lyrics by Nick Jonas & The Administration

well the reason London plays a role in the song is because he wrote it while doing Les Misérables in London. i think that the whole foolishly i fall part and "Could it be that I now stand affected by this blinding light" is talking about fame and thinking that it is changing him for the worse. "Big Ben breathing down my neck again, i feel this time is running out" well since big ben is the clock he is making a reference to time, i kinda have a feeling he thinks his childhood is coming to an end but he feels like he need more time to have his childhood, that he is not ready to give it up. when he says "All this baggage that Im carrying Its time to lay it down" i feel like he is saying he is ready to leave the past and things he has done that he may not be proud of or whatever and people he may of had rough patches with...i think the first verse is talking about that he has certain feelings and thoughts about himself but no one really understands where he is coming from and why he thinks that about himself.maybe in the last verse "A cup of tea on my own tonight Now Im changing by this blinding light"he doesn't like what fame has done to him and how it is changing him and he feels like that is why he is all alone without a gf or whatever because being famous made his personality change for the worse... anyway those are just my thoughts. his songs are kinda hard to find the meanings because they can have so many due to the fact that he writes with so many metaphors... he is so talented... i love him :)
