Whoever said that love is easy, must has never been in love
Sometimes its a land mine, one wrong step and it blows up
A word, a look, lights a hidden fuse
It's hard to see just what you have, when you're seeing red
And it's easy to do something that you know you both will regret
Better stop, think, count to ten before I leave
One, I still wanna hate you
Two, three, I still wanna leave
Four, searching for that door
Five, then I look into your eyes
Six, take a deep breathe
Seven, take a step back
Eight, nine, I don't know why, we even started this fight
By the time I get to ten, I'm right back in your arms again
Words thrown so carelessly like weapons when we fight
But when they cut too deep, I wanna leave it all behind
That I've to count to ten, before I cross that line
One, I still wanna hate you
Two, three, I still wanna leave
Four, searching for that door
Five, then I look into your eyes
Six, take a deep breathe
Seven, take a step back
Eight, nine, I don't know why, we even started this fight
By the time I get to ten, I'm right back in your arms again
You can lose what you're not thankful for
I don't want that to happen to you and me
Better count my blessing
One, you still move me
Two, three, you send chills right through me
Four, you keep me wanted more
Five, when I look into your eye
Six, you're my best friend
Seven, that will never end
Eight, nine, I don't know why, but thank God it happens every-time
By the time I get to ten
By the time I get to ten
I can see how bless I've been
I'll chose you all over again...
Sometimes its a land mine, one wrong step and it blows up
A word, a look, lights a hidden fuse
And it's easy to do something that you know you both will regret
Better stop, think, count to ten before I leave
Two, three, I still wanna leave
Four, searching for that door
Five, then I look into your eyes
Six, take a deep breathe
Seven, take a step back
Eight, nine, I don't know why, we even started this fight
By the time I get to ten, I'm right back in your arms again
But when they cut too deep, I wanna leave it all behind
That I've to count to ten, before I cross that line
Two, three, I still wanna leave
Four, searching for that door
Five, then I look into your eyes
Six, take a deep breathe
Seven, take a step back
Eight, nine, I don't know why, we even started this fight
By the time I get to ten, I'm right back in your arms again
I don't want that to happen to you and me

Six, you're my best friend

By the time I get to ten
I can see how bless I've been

First off, LOVE...true love, is not easy. It takes work and it takes time. To anyone who has ever been in love, know that it takes a cooperative effort; a mutual friendship AND passion.
Secondly, you will fight. You WILL have your ups and downs and your differences. No couple, that is worth anything, will go without a feud. And I'm not talking about physical fights...I'm talking about heated discussions/debates, opposing opinions, and conflicting interests. Those are the moments that fill the voids between happiness. The times you DON'T take a picture together. But, those are also the moments that lead you both to realize you are individuals...separate people who find amazing beauty in each other, no matter the circumstance(s). When you each find perfection with each others' imperfections.
Thirdly, please don't make rash decisions, portray hatred, or blurt out negative comments toward the one you love. Actions speak louder than words, but you must realize in an instant the wrong phrase or the wrong statement at the wrong time, may cost you the most precious relationship you'll ever know.
Treasure what you have...don't throw out hurtful words carelessly...and for those fortunate enough to get a second chance after all has been said and done...PLEASE count your blessings.
(As for my opinion on the "meaning" of the song: It's about a girl/guy who wants to leave/hate the significant other they love...but no matter the circumstances, they find true happiness in each other. They fight, but after all is said and done, they can't come to terms with leaving and come together/embrace as one...and thank God for being blessed with the special bond they share.)
Live with no excuses...and love with no regrets
