Broken Frames

Here is what I got out of it. I could be taking this in a more personal way and applying it to my own life, but whatever. That's what music is for. I also added some lyric corrections.

First of all, this is between two people. The first person (Screamer is abuser, Clean vocals are abused.)

-------------------------------EXPLANATION------------------------------ There is clearly a relationship between two people. This first verse opens the meaning behind the song by explaining things are ending between them or have ended. One of the two people was possibly abusive either verbally or physically, but they clearly had shouting matches constantly. The abuser claims that the abused will end up back with them and that they should stop resisting and just stop fighting with them.

----------------------------EXPLANATION----------------------------------- The person who is ending the relationship (abused) does not like hurting people, but at the same time, the person they are ending it with is completely wrong for them. They do not care about them anymore and have been hurt so bad by the other person that it would not bother them if the person keeled over and died. It's basically saying "fuck you. you are worth nothing to me."

--------------------EXPLANATION-------------------------------------------- The first line indicates that the abused has no sense of self worth, probably thanks to mental abuse. It could also be that they are being sarcastic, questioning the abuser by asking "If I am so terrible, why do you want me?"

The second line explains that the abused has feelings and they are not property as the abuser is making them out to be. I sense that the abused person has been controlled and manipulated and treated like dirt from this line.

--------------------------------EXPLANATION--------------------------------- This part still makes little sense to me. The first line is easy, obviously the abuser is saying the abused is bitter about something but will not be able to leave. The second line indicates that the abuser may be planning on dumping the abused's body or something and the third line later indicates that they killed them. I think this is more metaphoric than anything because of the later parts of the song. The second line could therefore possibly mean that the abuser wants the abused (A woman) to again give up the fight, or, let the issue drift away.

She then says that he was the death of the relationship and that soon he will see the waves crash, meaning the issue will not peacefully go away as he so desires.

You won't be leaving anytime soon You're sewn into my veins I'm left with all the memories behind the broken frames -----------------------EXPLANATION--------------------------------------- They have broken up but she has scars(memories) left from the relationship that will stay there forever. He is sewn into her veins, metaphorically, he has permanently made himself a part of her. The broken frames is symbolic because it means she broke him out of her life and destroyed everything left of him that she had outside of her memories. It's really over between them.

Line 1: She is far away (no longer with him) Line 2: She left after a heated argument Line 3: Her words are not heard, he does not understand or he does not care. Line 4: He thought she would come back. She hasn't.

What I Get From This Song, Is Abuse. Maybe A Relationship. Maybe Parents. I'm Not Sure. But, I Screams Abuse To Me. Think About It. "Never, never talk back to me Quiver at the sound that we scream" Fighting? Don't Talk Back = Consequences? "Won't let you be the death of me" The Abuse Is Bad? "And when you say my name you get the best of me I can feel, I can feel that you won't be leaving anytime soon You're sewn into my veins I'm left with all the memories behind the broken frames" When They Say Her Name, Everything Is Happy. But She Can Still Feel The Abuse. The Relationship Won't End. They're In Too Deep. She Could Even Have Scars. So She'll Always Remeber. Things Being Thrown Around Could Be The Broken Frames.

It Might Just Be Me. But That's What I Get From It. Either Way, It's Beautiful. =]

this song is obviously about someone she really loves. but for some reason she doesnt want to be with that person anymore. no time for a relationship, hes bad for her, i dont know. she doesnt want to say goodbye "Never been a fan of goodbyes You know that I'd rather leave you here to die You know that" shed rather just leave him without saying anything because she cant say goodbye to him. afterwards she cant forget him, she still loves him and is left with the pictures of memories, but the frame, the security that was keeping them together is broken and doesnt exist anymore. simple.
