Chicago Train Lyrics
Always hang
How I met you one night
Always for all day
Hiding
hoooooo hooooo
For now where you stay
For the ending
I pray then won't take away
hoooooo hooooo
This is the last train to Chicago
No matter where I will go
I'd spy on you
This is the last time I will follow
And if I who might be
I will be whole
We will be I'd say
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
hooooooooo hooooooooooo
How I met you one night
Always for all day
Hiding
For the ending
I pray then won't take away
No matter where I will go
I'd spy on you
And if I who might be
I will be whole
We will be I'd say
hooooooooo hooooooooooo

Official lyrics from album liner notes:
Always a long way I'd watch you all night Always for all day I'd wait
I'd find out where you'd stay For the others I wait while they take you away
This is the last train to Chicago No matter where I will go I'd spy on you This is the last time I will follow Wherever you will not be Neither will me Lonely we'll be, I'd say
Where will you hide?
The main guy in the band writes a lot about espionage. This is one spy on the hunt for another, and he is stating his intentions as well as what he has done and will do in order to be sure the quarry stays in check.
It's possible he likes his job a bit too much; though he would love to see the quarry carted off by his allies, most of the song is about the hunt itself.
On the other hand, "this is the last train to Chicago...the last time I will follow," which from a story perspective (and based on the music change) seems to indicate that at present, the trap will soon close. Where indeed will "you" hide on a train?
