Lunchmeat Lyrics

animals were heading north
when we heard the news report
there were tremors in Japanese ocean trenches
there were devils in the sand

sirens sang in monotone
harmonized in deathly drone
leave the tables, the curtains, the computer's useless
leave the lunchmeat for the sharks

(I roam?) (I row back?)

"Sirens SANG in monotone."

I think they sing "I row back" in the end. There are definitely three syllables there.

My thought was that it was I roam, I......I roam, I..... I'll give it another listen though.

think its "i row back"...

While earthquakes and the like are not uncommon in Japan, just hearing this song now, and knowing it came out before the quake and tsunami, it's chilling.
