With one foot still in the past
With the other far ahead
(Million timelines, million lifetimes)
In between the times go fast
Chase your life while living it
(Keep track of your life, live dreams, make them real)
A million words
I drown in what I really try to say
In what I try to be today
(A million paths to a million choices)
It's an overwhelming prospect
Take a step back, time to reflect
(Keep track of your time, use it well; live your dreams)
A million words and fantasies
A million dreams and fallacies
I now know life goes fast
Hold on and be
This is you so dare to become yourself
With memories like scars
Or beautiful memoirs
Fighting inner wars
(A million senses, a million notions)
The past can hurt and teach
With today within our reach
(And tomorrow's fears to breach)
With the other far ahead
(Million timelines, million lifetimes)
In between the times go fast
Chase your life while living it
(Keep track of your life, live dreams, make them real)
I drown in what I really try to say
In what I try to be today
(A million paths to a million choices)
It's an overwhelming prospect
Take a step back, time to reflect
(Keep track of your time, use it well; live your dreams)
A million dreams and fallacies
I now know life goes fast
Hold on and be
This is you so dare to become yourself
Or beautiful memoirs
Fighting inner wars
(A million senses, a million notions)
The past can hurt and teach
With today within our reach
(And tomorrow's fears to breach)

In my opinion, this song is about your dreams and the path you are meant to take in life. Even though you have million choices, that will take to million different lifetimes, you will end up chosing the right one, but all the experience you have, through the crossing of those paths will mark you forever, and make you someone new.
It's a motivational song. The theme is summed up in the first verse. Our thoughts are always stuck in two places. Half dwells on the past and how it defines us, yet the time we spend doing this is time not spent defining ourselves right now. The other half imagines the future we want, but gets tangled up and overwhelmed by the millions of paths that might lead there and the millions of obstacles we might face on the way. We ignore the present, and it continually passes us by... faster and faster.
They're telling us that, knowing how difficult it is, we must focus on the present. We don't have to forget the past or stop building a future, but we can't bind ourselves to them. The best we can do is make a solid choice to be who we want to be right now, before the time we have to do so runs out.
And yes, writing out my interpretation here is very much myself in the process of kicking my own ass.
