So We Row Lyrics
I want to say how much I need,
Just a break,
A little break.
I want to say how much I need,
Just a taste,
A little taste.
I want to go away and try,
Just to waste,
A little time.
I want to go away and find,
A place,
For you and I.
So We Row
I'll stop the sun from beating you,
To the ground,
To the ground.
I'll find a land where no one makes,
A sound,
Not a single sound.
So we row.
I've found a place where no one makes a sound.
Just a break,
A little break.
Just a taste,
A little taste.
Just to waste,
A little time.
A place,
For you and I.
To the ground,
To the ground.
A sound,
Not a single sound.

No comments? This song is awesome! There we go. The verse is so normal, but the rest is so intense. It's amazing how much you can do with one little riff.
Anyway, as for the lyrics, there's a little "so we row, row, to the edge of the world" in there just before the outro kicks in, and a chanting of "all I want is to stay here" right at the end of the loud part of the outro. It'd be more representative if ", and row, and row" was added to the lyrics as well.
But wow. We all feel a bit like this sometimes :).
It's about wanting to change one's situation, and the terrible struggle against inertia or the desire to stay safe in the same old rut. The "rowing" metaphor represents the backbreaking effort involved. The music in this song is just awesome.
