Huckleberry Crumble Lyrics
No moral obligation
To tell me how you feeling tonight, right
Minds over racin'
Visions got me shakin'
Motor station changing your mind
Mind, mind, mind
Lady Jabowakee's eatin' bed bugs
The rabbit dug a hole straight through to China
So where do we go?
And where is the rabbit's hole?
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away, yea
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away, yea
I'm feeling like I'm sinking in
I'm moving in
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away
A hustler and a cousin
His lizard like complexion ain't right
Motor city's moving
The big grizzler's groovin'
He's a number one percenter tonight
Right on
Right on
Right on
Lady Jabowakee's eatin' bed bugs
The rabbit dug a hole straight through to China
So where do we go?
And where is the rabbit's hole?
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away, yea
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away, yea
I'm feeling like I'm sinking in
Chips will only grow one shoulder at a time
The lesson of all lessons of our lives
And forget about the troubles for a time, time, time, time
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away, yea
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away, yea
I'm feeling like I'm sinking in
I'm moving in
I'm feeling like I'm pulling away
solid song... they said the first moment robert played this song to scott, scott immediatley started rushing to go grab a pen and paper and wrote the melody within minutes
trippy lyrics.... with scott mentioning rabbits, lizzards, turtles, and bed bugs
sounds like a Velvet Revolver song
velvet revolver is NOTHING without scott
velvet revolver is NOTHING without scott
sounds 80-ish to me.... not as good as other songs on the album
scott loves animals....maybe a little more than we thought
cant wait for stp to come to england this summer!!!
they oughtta spend their summer in the US IMO....
they oughtta spend their summer in the US IMO....
possibly pulling out of a relationship within the early stages
STP gone 80's
3."Huckleberry Crumble" was written by Robert. When the four band members would get together to make a record, Robert wanted to impress them with his best work. "I purposely try to pick songs that... are really gonna light a fire under everybody's ass." Dean remembered the first time he heard the riff: "Robert walked over to my guitar rack in the studio and he grabbed this Les Paul, that kind of has the very most output, and plugged it into a 100-watt Marshall head and turned everything up real loud, and he goes, 'Check this out.'" Weiland was also taken by "Huckleberry Crumble" from the first moment he heard it. While the demo was played to him in the studio, Weiland immediately began hunting for a pen and pad of paper. Dean recalled, "From the first downbeat of the song, Scott was just in, and just writing down, and I think [he] had the melody within minutes."
