Patience Lyrics
(with Damian Marley)
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, yonkontê
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, kiye
Ni kêra môgô
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, yonkontê
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, kagni
Ni kêra môgô
Some of the smartest dummies
Can't read the language of Egyptian mummies
An' a fly go a moon
And can't find food for the starving tummies
Pay no mind to the youths
Cause it's not like the future depends on it
But save the animals in the zoo
Cause the chimpanzee dem a make big money
This is how the media pillages
On the TV the picture is
Savages in villages
And the scientist still can't explain the pyramids, huh
Evangelists making a living on the videos of ribs of the little kids
Stereotyping the image of the images
And this is what the image is
You buy a khaki pants
And all of a sudden you say a Indiana Jones
An' a thief out gold and thief out the scrolls and even the buried bones
Some of the worst paparazzis I've ever seen and I ever known
Put the worst on display so the world can see
And that's all they will ever show
So the ones in the west
Will never move east
And feel like they could be at home
Dem get tricked by the beast
But a where dem ago flee when the monster is fully grown?
Solomonic linage whe dem still can't defeat and them coulda never clone
My spiritual DNA that print in my soul and I will forever Own Lord
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, yonkontê
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, kiye
Ni kêra môgô
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, yonkontê
Sabali, Sabali, Sabali, kagni
Ni kêra môgô
Huh, we born not knowing, are we born knowing all?
We growing wiser, are we just growing tall?
Can you read thoughts? can you read palms?
Huh, can you predict the future? can you see storms, coming?
The Earth was flat if you went too far you would fall off
Now the Earth is round if the shape change again everybody woulda start laugh
The average man can't prove of most of the things that he chooses to speak of
And still won't research and find out the root of the truth that you seek of
Scholars teach in Universities and claim that they're smart and cunning
Tell them find a cure when we sneeze and that's when their nose start running
And the rich get stitched up, when we get cut
Man a heal dem broken bones in the bush with the wed mud
Can you read signs? can you read stars?
Can you make peace? can you fight war?
Can you milk cows, even though you drive cars? huh
Can you survive, Against All Odds, Now?

Who wrote the Bible? Who wrote the Qur'an?
And was it a lightning storm
That gave birth to the earth
And then dinosaurs were born? damn
Who made up words? who made up numbers?
And what kind of spell is mankind under?
Everything on the planet we preserve and can it
Microwaved it and try it
No matter what we'll survive it
What's hu? what's man? what's human?
Anything along the land we consuming
Eatin', deletin', ruin
Trying to get paper
Gotta have land, gotta have acres
So I can sit back like Jack Nicholson
Watch niggas play the game like the lakers
In a world full of 52 fakers
Gypsies, seances, mystical prayers
You superstitious? throw salt over your shoulders
Make a wish for the day cuz
Like somebody got a doll of me
Stickin' needles in my arteries
But I can't feel it
Sometimes it's like 'pardon me, but I got a real big spirit'
I'm fearless.... I'm fearless
Don't you try and grab hold of my soul
It's like a military soldier since seven years old
I held real dead bodies in my arms
Felt their body turn cold, oh
Why we born in the first place
If this is how we gotta go?
Damn.

This song has a lot of meaning in it. It mainly is about patience. We can't expect solutions to happen over night or right away. It takes time to figure things out and we can't rush through life. Since it takes so much time to improve life, we need to ignore the stupid distractions of the media, celebrity and other nonsensical distractions so we can find solutions to our problems. I would like to know what other people think about this song because it really struck a chord with me.
This song is truth. everytime i listen to it i'm reminded of the importance of patience and being patient. also of how music can be used as a weapon of enlightement, with it's insightful, esoteric, spiritual messages and symbols. In case you're wondering, the chorus (the bit that's in bambara) is intextualised into these lyrics from the song "Sabali" by mamadou and mariam.
Here's a an English translation of it: Sabali sabali sabali yonkontê – patience, patience is worth everything Sabali sabali sabali Kayi – patince, patience is good ni kêra môgô – when you love someone

"Some of the worst paparazzis I've ever seen and I ever known Put the worst on display so the world can see And that's all they will ever show"
"So the ones in the west Will never move east And feel like they could be at home Dem get tricked by the beast But a where dem ago flee when the monster is fully grown?" commenting on the conflict between western and eastern nations. particularly the conflict between the U.S./Britain with Islamic nations of the Middle East. once again, the "beast" referring to satan, devil who exploits our differences to keep us fighting amongst eachother, destroying eachother. we don't come from the east, west, north or safe. we come from God, the source, from EARTH. Earth is our home and we're all earthers. by the time they realise this and understnd that they were pawns of the satanic occult groups such as the freemasons, elites or satanic illuminati, who generate order from choas - "as above so below", they can't hide or run from the problems they've helped to create in the first place. the beast is also synomynous with the "ego" - shadow/false self, you yourself are your own greatest enemy. here's a commentary on the ego, from the film "revolver":
"The ego is the worst confidence trickster we could ever figure.
"I am you".
The problem is that the ego hides in the last place that you'd ever look within itself. It disguises its thoughts as your thoughts, its feelings as your feelings.
"You think it's you".
Peoples' need to protect their own egos knows no bounds. They will lie, cheat, steal, kill, do whatever it takes to maintain what we call ego boundaries. People have no clue that they're imprisoned. They don't know that there is an ego, they don't know the distinction. At first, it's difficult for the mind to accept that there's something beyond itself, that there's something of greater value and greater capacity for discerning truth than itself.
In religion, the ego manifests as the devil. And of course no one realizes how smart the ego is, because it created the devil so you could blame someone else. In creating this imaginary external enemy, it usually made a real enemy for ourselves, and that becomes a real danger to the ego, but that's also the ego's creation.
There is no such thing as an external enemy no matter what the voice in your head is telling you. All perception of an enemy is a projection of the ego as the enemy. In that sense, you could say that 100 percent of our external enemies are of our creation.
"Your greatest enemy is your own inner perception, is your own ignorance, is your own ego"."
"Solomonic linage whe dem still can't defeat and them coulda never clone My spiritual DNA that print in my soul and I will forever Own Lord" Other than the fact that his soul will never be bought by satan, I'm pretty sure that this song is referring to the theory that King Solomon was a black person. The notion of racial supremacy of Africans and Black people, the music video is laced with such an ideology. the irony of this song is that it's music video and this line also projects black/racial propaganda. Bobby Hemmitt is a key spokesperson of the notion of "melanin" as being divine dna/codes, this is based on pseudo science but also research done by the human genome project which finds that melanin/junk dna is not of human origin but of another origin, extraterrestrial? read these links below to find out more about "spiritual dna/ascension/dna activation" and melanin theory of black supremacy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanin_theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_supremacy http://scienceray.com/biology/alien-genes-found-in-human-dna/ http://humansarefree.com/2011/04/amazing-scientists-our-dna-is-mutating.html
dope album that's all
Part II
I should also mention, that the notion of east/west in verse 1 is also reference to alternative history and sacred texts which reveal that human civilization rose from the east and now sets in the west. criticism against academics and scholars who are paid to rehash and propgandaise an official/revised history, which favours the winners. History is always written by the victors. this also ties into notions of the New world order (satan-west) in conflict with the old world order (God-east).
My interpretation of Verse II: "Huh, we born not knowing, are we born knowing all? We growing wiser, are we just growing tall?"
"Can you read thoughts? can you read palms? Huh, can you predict the future? can you see storms, coming?"
"The Earth was flat if you went too far you would fall off Now the Earth is round if the shape change again everybody woulda start laugh The average man can’t prove of most of the things that he chooses to speak of And still won’t research and find out the root of the truth that you seek of"
"Scholars teach in Universities and claim that they’re smart and cunning Tell them find a cure when we sneeze and that’s when their nose start running"
"And the rich get stitched up, when we get cut Man a heal dem broken bones in the bush with the wed mud" Rich are more advantaged than the mass middle class/poor. It's always the middle/lower classes who have to do the dirty work of the elites, it's because we gave our power away in the first place which is why we're treated like toy soldiers. this song is all about equality and self-empowerment in this aspect. Raises the importance of naturopathy science, how old and ancient herbal rememdies and medicinal practices are more advanced and provide better treatment than modern medicine. raises the issue of the supression of ancient medicinnal practices/herbs by corporate structures who just want to generate more income and improperly prescribe harmful substances/drugs to people. The EU is already banning natural herbs that cure all sorts of natural illnesses by natural/healthy means.
"Can you read signs? can you read stars? Can you make peace? can you fight war? Can you milk cows, even though you drive cars? huh Can you survive, Against All Odds, Now?"
My interpretation of some of the references to ancient Egypt is that ancient Egypt was an early example of a materialistic culture which despite its amazing technological advances (or because of them) still appealed to some of the basest human emotions like fear of death. Instead of having patience and being willing to live with in their means, egypt overstepped their bounds and all that is left of them is some archeological marvels. I think Damien Marley and Nas are saying that we are on the same path and may end up destroying our own culture and leaving behind nothing but handful of big buildings.
Man this song is a real treat. As per the rest of the album the Marley lyrics are so dope. Of course, Nas holds his own but he has to work hard on this album. I think thats what makes it such a good album. These 2 really challenge each other and it results in some high quality lyrics. It doesn't get much better really.
Verse III asks important questions regarding God, religion, knowledge, existence, purpose etc. the outro line basically highlights the audience this song is directed towards: "This goes to all the wisdom and knowledge seekers of the World. Sabali, Patience, yeah" To all the truth seekers and conpiracy truthers out there, we can either recoil and hide from what we see is happening to us and all around us, or we can embrace the truth for what it is and let us set us free. The truth will set us free. it's so easy to run and hide and resume our ordinary lives with a a beer, tv and lakers game and pretend we don't know anything and ignore the truth, brush it aside as conpiracies/paranoia/superstition, just consume the lies that we're constantly being programmed to accept as fact, but it's better to confront lies/truth with patience and self-empowerment/being the change you wish to see in the world. There is a spiritual war out there, a war on your soul a war being waged on your consciousness... on human consciousness. evil only triumpths when Good people do nothing, just stand and watch and let it happen. deny ignorance/lies and practice truth, light and patience, as long as you have patience and hope, truth and wisdom will always prevail. Focus on your positivity and on your spirit/soul/consciousness and don't let fear, dark occult energy/satan get to you and distract you away from the path of enlightenment/truth/light <3

This Song among many others keeps giving me inspiration and insight. there are many of us who are not fools, not ignorant or scared of truth! We must all Unit for a greater cause of teaching the youth of tomorrow they importance of positivity, truth, purity and self-realization. Because you know if a child grows within a positive environment and is taught of they importance of such things, the child will not grow to be a fool. The child will most likely grow to be wise and will live a meaningful life. He or she will also most likely not be tempted by corruptions of the system and strive to bring about change! This cycle must be repeated until there is no system until our system is love, peace and unity! If you agree with what I just please feel free to add me on facebook my name KilliaK D Isaacs. My Brothers, My sisters Become apart of the movement in spreading love and creating a greater awareness of unity WE ARE ALL FAMILY ONE LOVE
