As it always is with hatesphere, the Theme is an everyday event, but the demonstration is insanely unique and new! The idea behind "Addicted Soul" revolves around both "deception" and "wrong belief"

The first part of the lyrics talks about a confused and decaying soul, who as been deceived by a person or thought which wasn't investing to them, instead destructive and consuming. The meaning of "psycho's brain picnic" can vary from a "religion" to "an irresponsible friend's judgment".

The second part is a one sided conversation between the music and the decaying soul in which Hatesphere questions the credibility of the consuming person or thought alongside with the folly of the addicted soul.

In this part of the lyrics Hatesphere talks about the ultimate truth about the story of the addicted soul. "Body bag" is a metaphor for all the restrictions and rules that has taken control after the soul had put its trust into the deceiver. The chains made by that person or belief which are pointed toward the destruction implies one thing: "You must die". The destructive intent is too keen that will haunt the addicted soul down to the level of its dreams and won't stop until the soul is consumed and dead.

There's still hope and Hatesphere says the only way left for addicted soul is to deny its god because he's insane and takes pleasure out of feeding pain to addicted souls he owns.

in this part hatesphere is concerned with the addicted soul's misery and wonders how stupid and dubious it is.

and finally the last cautions and warnings to the addicted soul come. This part vividly demonstrates the effect of the god on the poor soul and implies that all the misery and doubts come from the very source that supposed to heal and save it. It's GOD.
