I think the song talks about a couple that seem so right for each other but initially the bot isn't latchy but this doesn't bother the girl. She is oblivious to it. She doesn't understand consequentially when he wants to break up because she thought he felt the same. He knew she wasn't right for him from the start and he didn't really reciprocate her feelings. Eventually he just ends it and she can't believe it
