Hot afternoons spent at the park and we’d run until our legs gave out
Cold drinks at the end of the day, non-alcoholic but they seemed all the same
Times change and people pass, friends go while memories last
While the time keeps sailing by slipping through our grasp
Long days spent in the school room while we planned what we would do in the breaks
Simple things seemed so much brighter is a simple heart all that it takes?
Why should we long for what we had then?

We didn’t wait for the future
The little boy is still inside
I’ve been hiding all the while from the great big bad world
So why don’t you come and find me
Do something exciting and save me from the great big bad girls...
Chatterboxing in your parent’s car about everything and nothing at once
Silver days golden in hindsight man we had some fun
