Believe Lyrics

Sometimes I feel like I'm alone
Hoping, praying You hear me
Screaming inside to ease the pain
Save me, keep me alive

I'm not afraid anymore
Of what I don’t know

Believe, in the unknown (I put my faith, in the unknown)
Believe, in God alone (I put my hope, in God alone)
Have faith in what you don’t know

Sometimes I feel like I have to cry
Until my emotions have run dry
I'm breaking inside to hide the pain
Save me, keep me alive

I know you’re here
I can feel you now
I know your love embraces me

Give up all your sorrow
Have faith in what you don’t know
In God alone
Have faith in what you don’t know
You don’t know

Cover art for Believe lyrics by Letter Black, The

This song conveys a bad message because it says that God is unknown. God is unseen, but he is not unknown.

Moreover, it is not smart to trust something you don't know. But this cannot be applied to God because we do know God, to some degree.

My Opinion

The song does not convey a poor message at all...Religion (and belief in God) is based on faith...Faith by definition is belief in the face of uncertainty...

Furthermore, if you listen to the song you realize that it begins with doubts over the uncertainty (not knowing if God is listening) Sometimes I feel like I'm alone Hoping, praying You hear me

But as it progresses, the individual's fear subsides and their faith carries them despite the uncertainty I'm not afraid anymore Of what I dont know

Then later they acknowledge that they "know" God and can feel his presence I know youre here I can feel you now I know your love embraces me
