Numbers Don't Lie Lyrics
It was always what you said
It would be, and nothing more
Through the smoke screens and the pipe dreams
And the blood on the floor
You say it's black, well it's bound to be black.
You made up your mind, and you see with that.
Baby, if you wanna be right
I will let you be right,
I will let you be right.
You know that the numbers don't lie,
Oh no, the numbers don't lie;
Two wrongs will not make it right.
You said, "One and one and one and one is three."
But I know my lines and my graphs and my math-
Honey, that ain't me.
If you want it, you can have it-
All the lines on the cellar floor.
Don't mean nothing, just a bad dream-
Even if you think it's more.
You say it's black, well it's bound to be black.
You made up your mind, and you see with that.
Baby, if you wanna be right
I will let you be right,
I will let you be right.
You know that the numbers don't lie,
Oh no, the numbers don't lie;
Two wrongs will not make it right.
It would be, and nothing more
Through the smoke screens and the pipe dreams
And the blood on the floor
You made up your mind, and you see with that.
I will let you be right,
I will let you be right.
You know that the numbers don't lie,
Oh no, the numbers don't lie;
Two wrongs will not make it right.
But I know my lines and my graphs and my math-
Honey, that ain't me.
All the lines on the cellar floor.
Don't mean nothing, just a bad dream-
Even if you think it's more.
You made up your mind, and you see with that.
I will let you be right,
I will let you be right.
You know that the numbers don't lie,
Oh no, the numbers don't lie;
Two wrongs will not make it right.

Could possibly be about how she feels that war is unnecessary but this certain person is stubborn and believes that the world must be "black" (hinting of destruction or nothingness). The numbers could mean the amount of people that die or the statistics of war throughout history. That's my thought.
I don't think it has anything whatsoever to do with war. The "numbers don't lie" bit is a tie to the idea that "two wrongs do not make a right." It's not about statistics of any kind, it's just a play on words.

As far as things being black, I always think that she is the one saying it's bound to be black. He's saying that things are tough ("it's black"), and she's saying that that's just how things are gonna be.

To me it obviously has to do with issues in a relationship.
