Jona Vark Lyrics

She walks down the street
Alone in the dark
Her head's held up high
And shes got nothing fear

As she crosses the road
She looks to the stars and asks for advice
On where to go
Where to go from here

Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark

She found her place
Amongst the trees
She opened her eyes
And started to see
A flower in the distance
That showed her the way
To answer the questions
That we all like to ask

Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark

Her name is Jona Jona Vark
Her name is Jona Jona Vark

Jona Vark....

Or should I rather say: Joan of Arc ? If you read about her story, the song will explain itself...

Maybe for the flower another hint: it certainly means the fleur-de-lys or lily, they sign of the french royals, but also the sign of purity...

I am impressed tonight with the comments on Songmeanings! Oui oui, fleur de lys! ;)

To me, this song is about enlightenment.

"She walks down the street Alone in the dark Her head's held up high And shes got nothing fear"

This part points to the fact that she is free of the fear of death

I think it really would be "flower" rather than "further" because when we are present with nature, it brings about a sense of connectedness with it.. all of this frees us from what we are not - the mind.

The question we all like to ask is "what is the meaning of my life".. with enlighentment we are able to see that there is no answer and there is no need to ask the question in the first place. We dont need to conceptualise everything!
