Cape Town Lyrics

Took you in the vineyard
A couple hours after I met you
I didn't need my passport
Said I'd let you keep it forever
I hardly knew a thing about you
I got lost in Cape Town
In Cape Town
I saw you,
I met you,
I loved you,
I left you In Cape Town

Woke me in the morning
Asked me if I meant it (I didn't)
Asked to be her husband
She already had one (in prison)
I hardly knew a thing about you
I got lost in Cape Town
In Cape Town
I saw you,
I met you,
I loved you,
I left you In Cape Town
In Cape Town

Ran a lot of paper
Lost it all in part two
When I was in Asia,
I forgot how to call you
Went out to a graveyard to bum a couple flowers
To give to you
When I got back to Cape Town
To Cape Town

Cape Town is a metaphor for fame/hollywood/ect. He's saying he loved Keltie, but got "lost" or caught up in the idea of fame and that lead to him cheating.

"Woke me in the morning Asked me if I meant it (I didn't)"

refers to the morning she found out and he told her that the other girl meant nothing to him.

Cape Town is a city in Western Cape, South Africa...

so, just a thought. panic!'s last show before the split was played in Cape Town. what if Cape Town isn't a metaphor for anything, what if he's literally talking about Cape Town and how he left the band. Not only was their last show in Cape Town, they played, specifically, in a vineyard.

personally I think the song is about him leaving the band and leaving Brendon
