This song is about growing up. There's nothing you can do to stop it from happening; everyone has to move forward sometime in their life. It's about looking back at all the good times you've had but also realizing that you can handle anything life throws at you with some help from your old friends. Don't be sad that it's over-be grateful that it happened.
