GORGEOUS song! Reminds me of some of the songs from the 60s that my parents played around our house when I was growing up!
The meaning is straight forward- loving someone despite how poorly they treat you. Holding on to that hope that someday they will change.

No joke, I seriously thought this was a young black soul singer singing at first (not to sound racist). Dan just manipulates his voice so superbly it's hard to tell. Fantastic cover.
