Crosseyed Lyrics

Help me, can you help me?
I am lost without you
Tell me, can you tell me how to get out from between what I say and what I mean?

'Cause I can't take it back
Once I've said it, I can't take it down
Now it's written in the sky
But if there'll ever be a perfect time to try
Right now I'm standing here and staring right between my eyes
And I'll follow through and I will tell the truth
I would be lying if I said I never hated you

How do, how do I do what it is that I'm supposed to?
Not supposed to go all cross-eyed silencing
What is right for you or me

But if there'll ever be a perfect time to try
Right now I'm standing here and staring right between my eyes
And I'll follow through and I will tell the truth
I would be lying if I said I never hated too.

But if there'll ever be a perfect time to try
Right now I'm standing here and staring right between my eyes
And I'll follow through and I will tell the truth
But I would be lying if I said I never hated too

Help me, can you help me? I am lost without you
Tell me, can you tell me how to get out from between
What I say and what I mean?

Cover art for Crosseyed lyrics by Bad Veins

to me on the second and last choruses it sounds like "i would be lying if i said i never hated too/to" like he also hated? or he would be lying if he said he never hated to tell the truth? i don't know i'm high.

Straight from Ben: "well the whole song is about feeling 'cross-eyed' with confusion, I'm saying i would be lying if I said I didn't hate telling the truth, so I can't say that i don't hate telling the truth, because that's a lie, of which I just stated I wouldn't do. I think its much more interesting thematically to the song then just saying 'I hate you sometimes...'"
