To the Lighthouse Lyrics

It silently seeming
These eggshell ribs
Weaving into your hands
Can't sustain this breathing
It weighs on my chest
His lungs are filled with water from the tide
From the tide
And I watch them go by

Can't define a purpose
Our hands set adrift
Islands, cobwebs forming
Coalesce through the vapor
Some strange trembling gas
In sleep, I dream of houses in the sky
In the sky
And I watch them go by

Sometimes I'm pulled away
From my own misery
Your hands cover me
Eyes drift slowly

Sleep the summer chill
And sheets of linen
Hush the scattered sound
Of time dispersing

Sometimes I'm pulled away
From my own misery
Your hands cover me
Eyes drift slowly

Sleep the summer chill
And sheets of linen
Hush the scattered sound
Of time dispersing

Suddenly seeming These eggshell ribs Caving into your hands Can't sustain this breathing It weighs on my chest These lungs are filled with water from the tide From the tide And I Watch them go by

Can't define a purpose All hands set adrift In eyelids, cobwebs forming Coalesce through the vapor Some strange trembling gas In sleep I dream of houses in the sky In the sky And I Watch them go by

Sometimes I'm pulled away From my own misery Your hands cover me Eyes drift slowly Sleep the summer chill In sheets of linen Hush the static sound Of time dispersing

Sometimes I'm pulled away From my own misery Your hands cover me Eyes drift slowly Sleep the summer chill In sheets of linen Hush the static sound Of time dispersing

(?) = these eggshell ribs

beautiful song

I was just about to comment the same thing.

I also thinks it's suddenly and not silently

to me this song is about someone that meets you at a hard time in life and you're feeling lost and almost numb like you can't do anything about it and gives you the best kind of comfort and relief-

"sometimes i'm pulled away from my own misery, your hands cover me, eyes drift slowly"

My Interpretation

love the ending

Cover art for To the Lighthouse lyrics by Memoryhouse

"Sleep the summer chill And sheets of linen"

should be "...IN sheets of linen"

i love this song so much. It reminds me of being underwater

also sounds like "static sound" instead of scattered.

First line should be "Suddenly seeming", Memoryhouse themselves made a reference to this on their blog.
