To the Lighthouse Lyrics
It silently seeming
These eggshell ribs
Weaving into your hands
Can't sustain this breathing
It weighs on my chest
His lungs are filled with water from the tide
From the tide
And I watch them go by
Can't define a purpose
Our hands set adrift
Islands, cobwebs forming
Coalesce through the vapor
Some strange trembling gas
In sleep, I dream of houses in the sky
In the sky
And I watch them go by
Sometimes I'm pulled away
From my own misery
Your hands cover me
Eyes drift slowly
Sleep the summer chill
And sheets of linen
Hush the scattered sound
Of time dispersing
Sometimes I'm pulled away
From my own misery
Your hands cover me
Eyes drift slowly
Sleep the summer chill
And sheets of linen
Hush the scattered sound
Of time dispersing
These eggshell ribs
Weaving into your hands
Can't sustain this breathing
It weighs on my chest
His lungs are filled with water from the tide
From the tide
And I watch them go by
Our hands set adrift
Islands, cobwebs forming
Coalesce through the vapor
Some strange trembling gas
In sleep, I dream of houses in the sky
In the sky
And I watch them go by
From my own misery
Your hands cover me
Eyes drift slowly
And sheets of linen
Hush the scattered sound
Of time dispersing
From my own misery
Your hands cover me
Eyes drift slowly
And sheets of linen
Hush the scattered sound
Of time dispersing

beautiful song
I was just about to comment the same thing.
I was just about to comment the same thing.
I also thinks it's suddenly and not silently
I also thinks it's suddenly and not silently
to me this song is about someone that meets you at a hard time in life and you're feeling lost and almost numb like you can't do anything about it and gives you the best kind of comfort and relief-
"sometimes i'm pulled away from my own misery, your hands cover me, eyes drift slowly"
love the ending
"Sleep the summer chill And sheets of linen"
should be "...IN sheets of linen"
i love this song so much. It reminds me of being underwater
also sounds like "static sound" instead of scattered.
First line should be "Suddenly seeming", Memoryhouse themselves made a reference to this on their blog.
"hush the static sound"
