What a killer song. Really catchy and some very clever lyrics.
The main double entendre (double meaning) of the song: "love like woe" means that her love is both like "whoa," as in its impressive somehow, like she's attractive, or comes on really hard and fast to whatever guy she's interested in. But it also means that the love is like "woe," as in sadness, because that's what it causes because she moves on from people really quickly. Thus she's like a hurricane, speed train, moving car, she quickly moves on from guy to guy.
The rest of it isn't that hard to understand. The guy really likes the girl no matter what, she's the only one for him, the only one who can "make a storm cloud break, pullin' out the sun." He really wants her to like him, and she did, she brought him in, but then she moved on, and "kicked [him] out again." He wonders how he can get her to keep liking him, but it doesn't really work.

i love this song andd the ready set! i'm pretty sure it's about a guy and a girl and how she keeps pushing him away and doing things to make him want to leave, but he keeps coming back because he has a "love like woe" hah. and it doesn't make sense to him why he keeps going back to her but he does. good song (:

Why is it so few people like The Ready Set? I found him off of iTunes when I searched Never Shout Never. Then genius search popped up then The Ready Set was... there. Dum dum dum.
I love them so much and the irony in this song is amazing. The way many people don't actually see what this song about makes me feel accomplished because I know that the artist wasn't a dummie bear and used the wrong version of whoa but rather he is clever in his song writer... Well okay now I feel like a preacher so yep love the song just as much as the next person :D
