Make Believe Lyrics
Whose to know my world?
And whose to share my worry?
Mountains rise and fall all the time,
And it doesn't mean a damn thing to God,
So make believe in miracles instead.
Whose to show no fear?
Then cast the first stone at the mirror,
And break the spell you put down yourself,
And crack your shell right open again,
And make believe in miracles, my friends.
Whose to give everything
Just to serve what they believe in?
'Cause that's the way you play the game of life.
You create the world you want to see outside.
And remember what it's like to play God,
And make believe in miracles again.
Oh, make believe in miracles, my friends.
And whose to share my worry?
Mountains rise and fall all the time,
And it doesn't mean a damn thing to God,
So make believe in miracles instead.
Then cast the first stone at the mirror,
And break the spell you put down yourself,
And crack your shell right open again,
And make believe in miracles, my friends.
Just to serve what they believe in?
'Cause that's the way you play the game of life.
You create the world you want to see outside.
And remember what it's like to play God,
And make believe in miracles again.
Oh, make believe in miracles, my friends.

Totally sublime and perfectly bittersweet. One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
This is song is pure, simple and has some real meaningful lyrics. I'm only wondering what the following sentences mean.. Does someone have an idea?
Whose to show no fear? Then cast the first stone at the mirror, And break the spell you put down yourself,
It could be a biblical reference ie John 8:7 - ...Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. It being a biblical reference would fit with the rest of the song.

@GoingInside Yes and no. It is referencing the He who is without sin, cast the first stone, however...whose to show no fear then cast the 1st stone at the mirror and break the spell you put on yourself and crack your shell right open again... is expressing the idea that if people are brave enough to really examine themselves they will see that they are walled off both from themselves and from others....once they've realised this, they can then ' crack their shell right open again'....allowing them to break down the walls that they've put up....but it takes really being able...
