Mowgli

Life and death, so simply put.

Its about death. you wont have any questions, just the thought of fulfillment. In the world of infinity. The callus shell, is our body after we die. reminding us of the progress we made.

at this point i believe he the vocalist believes he is a mowgli. . his band or as in his family.. holds the key to his life and how he will fullfill it with them together transferring all their thoughts into one and ultimately do what they love doing in this jungle of a world where it can often give you thick skin ie callus and you can sometimes become mentlly or emotionally detatched from what is a natural human connection with your actual blood fmily so you cease with questioning it and have accepted being a part of a world with few answers and plenty of sleepless nights pondering the questions in your mind.

Personally, I think he is talking about some divine being (what I personally would believe to God/Jesus Christ). He is excepting the fact that there is something out there much greater than himself and it is in control of his life (mortality wise).
