Gold Teeth on a Bum Lyrics
Don't see you ever do without, leper!
Forced to feel pitiful and how clever!
You call him pretty and blessed child
Now see how the pretty boy runs wild
It's just an ordinary day
I know how to fix you if you come my way
You are the proud and simple man
Now run as fast I know you can
Trick me with your deaf dumb and blind ???? feigned hero disguise
It's just like every other day
But I know how to fix you should you come my way
Pull out your teeth and stare
With your hands at your share
Pull out your eyes and stare
With your hands at your share
You call him pretty and blessed child
Now see how the pretty boy runs wild
It's just and ordinary day
I know how to fix you if you come my way
It's just like every other day
But I know how to fix you should you come my way
Pull out your teeth and stare
With your hands at your share
Pull out your eyes and stare
With your hands at your share
You are the first one to fall down
You are the first one to cry foul
You are the first one to point the blame
You are the last one to feel ashamed
Couldn't you help me so that I may believe?
Couldn't you show me so that I may be saved?
Forced to feel pitiful and how clever!
You call him pretty and blessed child
Now see how the pretty boy runs wild
I know how to fix you if you come my way
Now run as fast I know you can
Trick me with your deaf dumb and blind ???? feigned hero disguise
But I know how to fix you should you come my way
With your hands at your share
Pull out your eyes and stare
With your hands at your share
Now see how the pretty boy runs wild
I know how to fix you if you come my way
It's just like every other day
But I know how to fix you should you come my way
With your hands at your share
Pull out your eyes and stare
With your hands at your share
You are the first one to cry foul
You are the first one to point the blame
You are the last one to feel ashamed
Couldn't you show me so that I may be saved?

Condemning religion? The religious are the first to cry foul and point the blame. The end is a plea. There is no evidence for God, so how can one believe? Just show me some tiny little sign, so that I can be saved. Unfortunately, it never comes.
Not that it required thought on my part at all, but Greg just posted on the band's Facebook wall the other day that this song is about people who don't have their priorities straight
as CloseButNoGuitar mentioned, bassist said: "This is a song about keeping your priorities in order during an age when taking care of the luxuries and letting the necessities take care of themselves is often the default mode of thinking ourselves into a proverbial corner."
