Good Fight Lyrics

Why, I ask
Shotgun blast
You're the ghost that lingers
In my past

You don't know
What I've seen
My lucky number seven
Is thirteen

Do you believe?
As I believe
You earn your reprieve

We're gonna fight
We're gonna fight
The good fight

And I'm locked and loaded
Sugar coated
And I'm ready baby for you

You can shoot me down
You can take me down
But there ain't a grave to keep my body down
There ain't a grave to keep my body down
Tonight
Tonight

Do you believe?
As I believe
You earn your reprieve

We're gonna fight
We're gonna fight
The good fight

And I'm locked and loaded
Sugar coated
And I'm ready baby for you

My soul's corroded
My heart's exploded
And I'm ready baby for you
You can shoot me down
You can take me down
But there ain't a grave to keep my body down
There ain't a grave to keep my body down
Tonight

Hey Red
You're gonna end up ahead
Every move you make
Is what it takes to bring
The other side down

Hey Blue
I'm loving the things you do
From the very first time
The fight you fight for
Will always be mine

We're gonna fight
We're gonna fight
The good fight

Cover art for Good Fight lyrics by Trocadero

My interpritation, this is about somebody or a group that has been wronged by the government "Why, I ask Shotgun blast You're the ghost that lingers In my past"

So they decide to do something about it and don't care if they are killed "We're gonna fight We're gonna fight The good fight

And I'm locked and loaded Sugar coated And I'm ready baby for you

You can shoot me down You can take me down But there ain't a grave to keep my body down There ain't a grave to keep my body down Tonight"

Then it goes to the faction that they are fighting and what is going on between their ranks "My soul's corroded My heart's exploded And I'm ready baby for you You can shoot me down You can take me down But there ain't a grave to keep my body down There ain't a grave to keep my body down Tonight"

When it talks about red and blue, it tells why each side is fighting "Hey Red You're gonna end up ahead Every move you make Is what it takes to bring The other side down

Hey Blue I'm loving the things you do From the very first time The fight you fight for Will always be mine"

Then it goes back to not caring about death, just wanting to get their message across "And I'm locked and loaded Sugar coated And I'm ready baby for you

You can shoot me down You can take me down But there ain't a grave to keep my body down There ain't a grave to keep my body down Tonight"
