This song is about psychedelics. He is trying to poison the mind of the youth, i reckon. It literally sounds like he finally discovered lsd and doesn't know what's up musically, still. I wish music would redeem itself.

i think its about his family, after his mum and dad have got divorced and hes going through a rough time trying to cope, so "so don't take life so seriously" can be, don't take everything he/she does the wrong way, if you know what i mean.

Actually, I believe this song is about taking the drug phencyclidine, or 'angel dust'... Hence all the water relations as it's said to give you a sinking feeling. I think 'Life is silly if you see like me so don't take life so seriously' is actually referring to the distortion and detatched filtering effects the drug gives you... If you look it up it does make a lot of sense.

It's also a track on the Alice in Wonderland album 'Not quite Alice' and is, all in all, a very cleverly written piece.

i don't think of this song as a drug reference, but it sounds like it could be a connection (like a relationship with someone, but not necessarily romantic). the feeling of the actual song reminds me of a sad and cloudy day, but he is singing about having fun. have you ever felt down, but thought something in your head that could help you think positive? this could account for the 'chemical swirls' in his head. essentially, feelings are just chemical signals; the swirls are mixes of what he is really feeling and what he is trying to make himself feel. he sings about pissy people just living life around him, so this song might have been a response to someone treating him rudely or snapping at him. he would have then felt down but tried to talk his way into happy, then bringing back the personal connection mentioned earlier. is this making any sense? sheesh my brain goes a million miles an hr sometimes xD oh well, i love this song.
