I like the song and I don't really care if Diana Vickers came out of the x factor. I think it's about not letting anyone hurt her more than once because they're not worth it. Perhaps she also questions her faith in people and what love is about. It has to do with betrayal and the fact that some people hurt others and they don't approach them easily which results in pain
Hey, I heard that Vickers was going to take an Indie acoustic approach on her debut album. I thought that I MIGHT just buy an album from an X factor product. Turns out that this song is only marginally better than any Leono Lewis song. I have an eclectic music taste but x factor crap is not a genre I'd bother listening to.

Secondly, have you even heard the rest of her album? In my opinion, Once is probably one of the weakest songs on the album, being out shined by the likes of Put It Back Together and Remake Me + You.

I totally agree. You cant judge a album nerdymuso without hearing it it first. The album is amazing, I dont have a weak track as I love them all :)
