The River of Water Lyrics
In the time that remains the stars will fade
Doesn't take what's wrong and make it right
It doesn't change what's come before
A lot of people want to turn their heads
And wave a flag and claim a moral fight
When there's nothing right about it
One of the little lies of time
Just because you're after all the men
Doesn't take what's wrong and make it right
It doesn't change what's come before
A lot of people want to clear their head
Or beat a drum and hold your head up high
When there's nothing right about it
One of the little lies of time
A freighter goes to shore
Puts a weighted line, the sun goes down
And all this dirt, it turns to black
A restless sleeper sticks his head outside
And sees the light, and feels it come inside
But he doesn't recognize
It's my kind of little lie and my tastes hold in the middle of the night
My kind of little lie and I know all the pretenders
My kind of little lying time
Lying time
A lying time
A lying time
Doesn't take what's wrong and make it right
It doesn't change what's come before
And wave a flag and claim a moral fight
When there's nothing right about it
One of the little lies of time
Doesn't take what's wrong and make it right
It doesn't change what's come before
Or beat a drum and hold your head up high
When there's nothing right about it
One of the little lies of time
Puts a weighted line, the sun goes down
And all this dirt, it turns to black
And sees the light, and feels it come inside
But he doesn't recognize
It's my kind of little lie and my tastes hold in the middle of the night
My kind of little lie and I know all the pretenders
My kind of little lying time
Lying time
A lying time
A lying time

I´ve been looking to this lyric for so long...
I think this song is about the exteriorization of time. There are in principle two forms of this phenomena: first is when we feel time its not enough for make a change; the second, when we make the claim for changes. But actually there are a big risk in the later, the image we're regarding for, is it just a matter of change something to be all perfect since or is it an everlasting task? I thing that we might fall in this revolutionary thinking that has proven to has same problems as do nothing. Nietzsche has somewhere said that only what has no history can be conceptualized, this means to be finished, known in its plenitude. Of course life has a history and that means that if we want to make anything we're always gonna be in front of this little lie of time. Well but then, how are we suppose to relate to time? Though interiorization of it, to make this illusion our illusion, to make this not only an everlasting task but to make it an authentic task.
