This is about feeling like a complete freak in a "perfect" world. I can imagine the person who felt like a freak and having someone reach out their hands to help and the person who felt like a freak loves that person so much that they don't want to corrupt them.
I <3 this song but it occasionally makes me want to cry cuz it reminds of much of my pre and elementary years and probably how I am today. . . :P
This song is sbout being different and knowing that you can only be happy being yourself but somethimes people try to convince you that being normal will help you, they try to change you and you become confused.
its means that person you love can be diffrent from the life you know but at the sametime you love them so much but you dont want to change and together there love will be strange:)
It's about how by living in this world, you're forced to become what others want, or face the pain of being shunned by them, even though you only feel happy being yourself. It also brushes upon the fact that love puts this kind of pressure onto the person who bears it, and the fact that because you love that person, you don't want them to feel that pressure.
It saddens me to see how many people have traded the pain and pleasure of being yourself, for the happiness of being a "normal" person who fits in.
