Always Something Lyrics
Well, it's raining outside
At least it's got to be somewhere
There's a long dark cloud just moving around
Moving around
Over nothing town
And it's always something
And it's always a touch of the same
Well, the light is on
And I have to see you
But it wasn't glowing
And it wasn't on
I'd love to know
How much it glows
And it's always something
And it's always something
And it's always something, touch of the same
And it's always something
And it's always something, touch of the same
Touch of the same, touch of the same
At least it's got to be somewhere
There's a long dark cloud just moving around
Moving around
Over nothing town
And it's always something
And it's always a touch of the same
Well, the light is on
And I have to see you
But it wasn't glowing
And it wasn't on
I'd love to know
How much it glows
And it's always something
And it's always something
And it's always something, touch of the same
And it's always something
And it's always something, touch of the same
Touch of the same, touch of the same

i think this song is about the feeling of dreary hopelessness that ppl with depression, or honestly ppl without, all often can feel. it’s the feeling of nothingness and routine and monotony ground into us with no change. \n\nthe use of the dark cloud, and the overcast metaphor has connotations of dreariness, hopelessness, and monotony. i see their explanation as not so much a storm, but more of a light grey overcast day with no difference in gradient of colour through clouds. just a boring, lack lustre colour and day. \n\nthe words “always something” indicative of the daily routine, never ending. \n\nof course words such as “nothing town” again reinforce the boring and bleakness of this town. \n\nidk this is just what i think
