I love this place
But haunted without you
My tired heart is beating so slow
Our hearts sing less than we wanted
We wanted
Our hearts sing cause
We do not know
We do not know

To light the night
To help us grow
To help us grow
It is not said I always know

You can catch me
Don't you run
Don't you run
If you live another day in this happy little house
The fires here to stay

To light the night
To help us grow
To help us grow
It is not said I always know

Please don't make a fuss
It won't go away
The wonder of it all the wonder that I made
I am here to stay
I am here to stay
Stay

    Song Meaning

Obviously she's talking about loving someone even though they aren't around or together and not sure of what this meand for their future

"Our hearts sing 'cause We do not know, we do not know"

and though it's not spoken they both know their love for each other is the only thing that's important

"To light the night to help us grow It is not said I always know"

And she's always going to love him no matter what

"Please don't make a fuss It won't go away" "The fire's here to stay"

I think this song is about two people who are in a relationship that isn't working. That would appeal to the line, "Our hearts sing less than we wanted, we wanted." And one person is absolutely in love with where she is, but it's turning out to hurt more being in that particular place (i.e. "I love this place, but it's haunted without you"). One person is ready to call it quits, but the other person is trying to get them to re-evaluate their decision to leave. Which would fit the lines, "If you live another day in this happy little house, the fire is here to stay". That would mean that if they can make it through this severely hard time which will determine where their relationship will ultimately stand then it is something real and will last. And the last part of the song I think is the person who is asking the person to stay is saying that they shouldn't fight it because regardless of how they feel, they won't be able to let whatever is binding them together go.

I love this song. However, I am not exactly sure what she is taking about / means? "It is not said I always know" - What is she talking about?

Amanda has such a sweet innocent voice, and it fits the song so perfectly. To me this song is about a girl who is reminded of that one person she loves because of the "little house" they may have shared together.

I think this song is about having lived with someone for years, and making a place to call home and building that happiness, and to me, it seems like this significant other has passed away, hence the "we do not know" and "the wonder of it all" and the song is a denial of the truth, because this person is never coming back, but she is "here to stay" because the memories will never leave her, and she wants to keep the love alive. Also "it is not said, I always know" is like she is saying she will always know that he will love her forever, regardless of what has happened. It could also be a breakup song, but there is not even a hint of bitterness there, so I think it's either a forced separation (whether it be work distance etc or death.

    My Interpretation

This song is about a girl whose boyfriend is away from her, or in the other way, the guy broke up with her. "If you live another day in this happy little house The fire's here to stay" lyric part means that the girl is still hoping for the guy to come back to her. She is still willing to accept the guy after all those heartaches.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
