Lying Through Your Teeth Doesn't Count as Flossing Lyrics

Last chance to make this right
This needs to end with us here

I'm just as fake
Just as fake as all of you
My spirit is willing
Its my flesh thats just so very weak
When we will end this
Tell me
When we will end this
Tell me and will they believe us
Last chance to make this right
This needs to end with us

If this is all they see
Then whats the point in saying
We believe in something we wont show

Our lives say just the opposite of everything we say
We believe in
And just how long will we stand for this hypocrisy
When we will end this
Tell me
When will we end this
Tell me and will they believe us

Last chance to make this right
This needs to end with us

If this is all they see
Then whats the point in saying
We believe in something we wont show

Don't make a mockery of her
Don't make a mockery of her
She's not your bride

Don't make a mockery of her
Don't make a mockery of her
Don't make a mockery of her
She's not your bride

Don't make a mockery of her
She's not your bride
She's not your bride

If this is all they see
Then whats the point in saying
We believe in something we wont live for
If this is all they see
Then whats the point in saying
We believe in something we wont live for

We tell a story
Our hearts are just as empty
If this is all they see
We got to start living it out

This song seems to speak to those who claim a belief yet don't live it out, or falter under pressure.

Very Christian theme. I was told they weren't Christian anymore though >.>

Haha yeah I thought Futurama at first too. It references Matthew 26:41 - “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

@Desper I agree, it seems to be about living out their faith and if they're not willing to live it out then what's the point in talking about it? Where'd you hear that they aren't? I guess it depends your definition but Ryan talks about their faith in this video, 7:18-8:42 is where he answers: http://www.indievisionmusic.com/2008/12/10/jesss-interview-with-greeley-estates-now-posted/

This song seems to go along perfectly with what he says.
