I originally thought that this song was about an ex-girlfriend, but judging by the lyrics, that might not be true...
He mentions that the person has a new girl, and he also says he wishes to be the person's girlfriend, so he could dump him/her.
Judging by thins, I'd guess that he's talking about a guy friend that he's upset with. Otherwise maybe his ex dumped him and turned lesbian. Or being even more creative, maybe he's gay, and his old boyfriend dumped him and turned straight.
I'd still go with my first guess.

i think its about a roomate. a guy who was probably originally darwin's friend but after living together their relationship turned sour. if you look at the song in literal terms. "so i would never have to pick up your trash again" "if your out of clean sheets" why would anyone have to clean up someones mess or do their laundry if they didnt live with them? "maybe you should wonder why your apartment is always so empty" maybe it was their apartment and now no one, as in their friends, goes there because of something the other guy did, probably to darwin. just a thought. btw i got this song from BIRP (blalocks indie rock playlist) or maybe the song was written by a girl or something. i have no idea about jenny.

I think it is about a guy who stole his(Darwin Deez) girl and he is thinking about him having all these bad situations happening to him. Towards the end however, he realizes that the guy did him a favor by stealing her away or she was a bad girlfriend or something and Darwin believes that he does not deserve anything worse. Or it could be in the perspective of a woman. Or I couldbe totally incorrect.

It seems to me that he had 2 friends that were living with him, and the 2 where going out, one being 'jenny' and as it happened, this guy broke it up and went with another girl. As being friends with her too, he may be taking her side, singing his anger to him, saying 'everyday a bad day for you' - for what he did to her. The song is out of revenge for sake of jenny, but the last lyrics ' but i'm sorry if it ever is' shows that he is still friends with this guy.
