I think this song is about evaluating a romantic relationship that she is confused about... "What it is" "Guessing and wandering what I did All through the night and we drift a little" They are having problems, and she is wondering if it is her that created this situation that she cant seem to put her finger on.

I think this song at large is about energy, that unseen thing that we feel, and this person is taking away from her natural energy and she is beginning to wonder about his true intentions.. "I knew you before I think you're with me, I'm not sure Didn't know what it was Don't you know who I am 'Cause I don't know myself anymore"

When you are trying so hard to be open and insightful to a relationship, and that person is just draining your energy, it is very confusing and nothing seems clear, things are so conflicted. I think this song represents that emotion the best.
