Lick Black Gold Lyrics
I'm sure to be back to my best soon.
Don't call, don't come.
Just clean break; sweep under.
My dear faith, for now, ever.
Lick black gold.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
(Just follow that car crash)
(Just follow that car crash)
I've been out, I've done that.
It's OK, no rush,
Rush in.
Ya can't come,
When sun's up, my siren.
I'll hold on, I'll hold it.
Lick black gold.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
Lick black gold.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
Lick black gold.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
Don't call, don't come.
My dear faith, for now, ever.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
(Just follow that car crash)
It's OK, no rush,
Rush in.
When sun's up, my siren.
I'll hold on, I'll hold it.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.
Don't come down, yet.
It's over, before this.

So I posted these and am fairly confident in most of the lyrics being accurate save for the verse "Ya can't come, When sun's up, my siren. I'll hold on, I'll hold it."
"Just clean break; sweep under. My dear faith, for now, ever."
Kind of sounds to me like this:
"Just clean break Sleep under My duvet For now, ever"
In a way it makes sense. The singer has lost someone close to him/went through a breakup, and he finds comfort in being alone under his duvet for however long it is necessary to feel better.
