Maybe we'll move to New York city
And then we'll celebrate goodbye
Well find a place that we can start a fight
And feel good to be alive
And so we'll drive across the country
On this endless holiday
You take the short cut and I'll watch life pass
I can't remember who drove last
Errands, errands
Why don't you think they'd understand?
Errands, errands
Why don't you think before that next drink
It's gonna be your last mistake, oh yeah
And its going to devastate all them
We're on our way to run more errands
Travelers without a plan
And I've been awake for way too long
I can't remember who I am
Errands, errands
Why don't you think they'd understand
Errands, errands
Why don't you think before that next tweak
It's gonna be your last mistake, oh yeah
And you know it will devastate all them
And then we'll celebrate goodbye
Well find a place that we can start a fight
And feel good to be alive
On this endless holiday
You take the short cut and I'll watch life pass
Why don't you think they'd understand?
Errands, errands
Why don't you think before that next drink
And its going to devastate all them
Travelers without a plan
And I've been awake for way too long
I can't remember who I am
Why don't you think they'd understand
Errands, errands
Why don't you think before that next tweak
And you know it will devastate all them

wait wait wait wait wait wait... not one comment yet? and this song came out in 2008. i probably sound like a dreadful indie hipster worrying about what others think or don't seem to think about this song, but really? not one person has said anything about this brilliant little ballad, and hundreds of people have commented on certain pop songs and hip hop anthems that barely qualify as songs...well fuck it, im done complaining and i guess no one will read this anyway, so im going to get off the internet now and try to forget about this whole thing, rant's over.
lol @ lagwagon182, it'll be okay bro i read your rant. :)
so this song is "about tweakers" according to an interview with Joey Cape that i saw on youtubue. it's a story about a couple of meth users that burn every bridge in their current scene and up and move across the country to nyc (also from Caper in that interview).
personally the song means something different and more personal. anyone that's had issues with stimulant abuse can find a lot to relate to here. the chorus always reminds me of those sleepless nights/days spent frantically doing meaningless shit... the whole time hiding from people i trusted less and less. it's all in this song, trust me. ;)
