Q&A

Water And A Seat Lyrics

How far you go and what you say will never keep the tides away
The sea or the wind or the fog
Cut a window through a wall
hello, hello, hello, hello?
hello? (hello hello hello)

If madness comes so much the better, to shame
If madness comes so much the better, to shame

A wicked week and logic creek
I need water and a seat
The sea or the wind or the fog
A cup of snow a snowflake kid
he is coming off the grid

Madness comes so much the better, to shame
If madness comes so much the better, to shame

Explosive path, I cannot dodge your draft
because the air is like perfume from vikings

Hanging with the brown rice clique
Tennyson and politics

You gotta hesitate from the man at jack fruit barby jacks and jill barbeque

Madness comes so much the better, to shame
If madness comes so much the better, to shame

Grass grows warped shade of the county court
I know you want that spawn just to your liking

Cover art for Water And A Seat lyrics by Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks

I think it's: "If madness comes so much the better to shake"

I also find it hilarious that someone tried to transcribe the gibberish in after the "Tennyson and politics" line. For me he really just purposely gibberish... this is a song about inviting madness and in... sometimes meaninglessness has more meaning - you just have to go with it.

If madness comes so much the better to shake!
