Diddle My Skittle Lyrics

You think I'm little
Wanna play me like a fiddle
I'm not so brittle
Come diddle my skittle 'cause there's only one peach
With the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle

There's only one peach with the hole in the middle
You think I'm little
Wanna play me like a fiddle
I'm not so brittle
Come diddle my skittle 'cause there's only one peach
With the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle

You think I'm little
Wanna play me like a fiddle
I'm not so brittle
Come diddle my skittle 'cause there's only one peach
With the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle
Hole in the middle
Yeah. Huh. Right. Peach. Huh. What? Right. Yeah

You think I'm little
Wanna play me like a fiddle
I'm not so brittle
Come diddle my skittle 'cause there's only one peach
With the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle
There's only one peach with the hole in the middle

Cover art for Diddle My Skittle lyrics by Peaches

"You think I'm little Want to play me like a fiddle I'm not so brittle"

Peaches is responding to someone trying to take advantage of her in one way or another by asserting her strength. Peaches is, in fact, not so brittle.

"Come diddle my skittle 'cause there's only one peach With the hole in the middle There's only one peach with the hole in the middle"

Peaches is stuck in a hard place, and is trying to fill the void in her heart with the only thing she can think of; having her skittle diddled. Of course, having ones skittle diddled could mean plenty of things. One would assume it involves some form of sexual act, but it could also be as family friendly as introducing the skittles into a simple rice krispy treat recipe. In any case, Peaches doesn't seem to be aware that either form of skittle diddling is terrible for hole filling. Of course, Peaches could know that, and be using this song as an example in the Teaches of Peaches.

"Yeah. Huh. Right. Peach. Huh. What? Right. Yeah"

I believe this is a callback to Fuck the Pain Away, a Peaches classic. This is further evidence that it could easily be a lesson from the Teaches of Peaches.

Many Peaches scholars also believe the repetitiveness Diddle My Skittle could represent Peaches's stubborness in asserting the fact that she is, indeed, not brittle. It could also represent the length of Peaches's quest to fill the hole "in the middle."
