Q&A
Ever Faster Lyrics
Today I noticed hills of gold I had not seen before,
Today I saw a line against the sky I have not seen before.
Holdin' on in powerlines I asked, for birds to keep my thought in place
And above my feed they resonate, sound muffled but immediate.
And oh how the day does blow the way, ever faster.
Tonight I see a dark sad man I have not seen before,
Tonight I see two sad lost girls I have not seen before,
and below the blackest sky I asked, for them to wander as I might
COULD NOT DISTINGUISH
And oh how the day does blow the way, ever faster.
Ever faster

Ever faster

And below the blackened sky I asked For them to wander as I might High above I saw the stars at night Move in minutes if your patience asks
And oh, How the day does pull away Ever faster
I think it says "pull" as opposed to "blow" and I'm still debating whether it's blackest or blackened. I think this is what the last verse says though. Love this song one of my favorites from the album.
And I think also in the first verse it's:

I think he's watching the world from the power line and is commenting on how time passes and he can observe how we "wander." Then again I'm just probably making it all up. Still love the song. Haha.
