I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes
Hate in my heart, love in my mind
I seen nights full of pain, days are the same
You keep the sunshine, save me the rain
I search but never find, hurt but never cry
I work and forever try, but I'm cursed, so never mind
And it's worse, but better times seem further and beyond
The top gets higher the more that I climb
The spot gets smaller, and I get bigger
Tryna get into where I fit in, no room for a nigga
But soon for a nigga it be on, mu'fucka'
Cause all the bullshit, it made me strong, mu'fucka'

Pick the world up and I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head, yeah
Bitch, I'm a pick the world up and I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head
And I could die now, rebirth motherfucker
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker
I'm gone
Motherfucker, I'm gone

Uh, I know what they don't wanna tell you
Just hope you're heaven-sent, and you're hell-proof
I-i walk up in the world and cut the lights off
And confidence is a stain they can't wipe off
Huh, my word is my pride
But wisdom is bleak, and that's a word from the wise
Served to survive, murdered and bribed
And when it got too heavy I put my burdens aside

So I could pick the world up
And drop it on yo fuckin' head, haha
Bitch, I'm a pick the world up
And I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head, yeah
And I could die now, rebirth motherfucker
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker
I'm gone
Motherfucker, I'm gone (I'm gone)

It hurts, but I never show,
This pain you'll never know
If only you could see just how lonely and how cold
And frostbit I've become, my back's against the wall
When push come to shove, I just stand up and scream "Fuck 'em all"

Man, it feels like these walls are closing in
This roof is caving in, up its time to raise it then
Your days are numbered like pages in
My book of rhymes, got 'em crooked, boy
This crooked mind of mine got 'em all
Shook and scared to look in my eyes
I stole that fuckin' clock, I took the time and I
Came up from behind
And pretty much snuck up
And butt-fucked this game up
Better be careful when you bring my name up
Fuck this fame, that ain't what
I came to claim but the game
Ain't gonna be the same on the day that I leave it
But I swear one way or another I'm a make these fuckin' haters believe it
I swear to God, won't spare the rod
I'm a man of my word, so your fuckin' heads better nod
Or I'm a fuck around in this bitch and roast everybody!
Sleep on me, that pillow is where your head'll lie
Permanently, bitch, it's beddy-bye
This world is my Easter egg, yeah! Prepare to die
My head is swole, my confidence is up
This stage is my pedestal
I'm unstoppable, incredible
Hope you're trapped in my medicine ball
I could run circles around you so fast your fuckin' head'll spin, dawg
I'll split your cabbage and lettuce and olives
I'll fuckin'

Pick the world up and I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head
Bitch, I'm a pick the world up and I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head
And I could die now, Rebirth motherfucker
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker
I'm gone
Motherfucker, I'm gone (I'm gone)

This song to me is Wayne talking about what he's doing with his music. The hook is great, he's talking about how many people have written him off, and written the album rebirth off, so he says "i could die now, rebirth motherfucker"...cos he's at the point in his career where he has enough bank to do whatever the fuck he wants with his music, and "Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker I'm gone"... is very, very Weezy. It means that this thing is about more than a fucking rock album, its about Wayne, and when you want something to be personal, you try hard to make it stand out. He's trying to take his music to whatever new heights he can whether we come along for the ride or not...which is the mark of a true artist.

But we will all come along anyway. The title line is very fitting. It's more than just Weezy. A lot of rappers have gotten tired of talking about the cars and girls. It's about time. So what he's saying is "Write us off now, Bitch"

I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes Hate in my heart, love in my mind I seen nights full of pain, days are the same You keep the sunshine, save me the rain I search but never find, hurt but never cry I work and forever try, but I'm cursed, so never mind And it's worse, but better times seem further and beyond The top gets higher the more that I climb The spot gets smaller, and I get bigger Tryna get into where I fit in, no room for a nigga But soon for a nigga it be on, mu'fucka' Cause all the bullshit, it made me strong, mu'fucka'

His struggle has made him feel that he's cursed because he has worked so hard and he can't get to where he strives to be.as an artist. The harder he tries the harder it gets for him but he has confidence in his talent that soon for a nigga it be on and he'll find where he fits in, Also he realizes that he is stronger now from all the bullshit that he endured on his climb.

Pick the world up and I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head, yeah Bitch, I'm a pick the world up and I'm a drop it on your fuckin' head And I could die now, rebirth motherfucker Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker I'm gone Motherfucker, I'm gone

He's gonna make a big impact that will take the world by surprise. Bigger than anything he's ever done. He's anger and determined. Hop up in my spaceship leave earth ,I'm gone..means he's gonna be on top or over the world and the critics that doubted him.

It hurts, but I never show, This pain you'll never know If only you could see just how lonely and how cold And frostbit I've become, my back's against the wall When push come to shove, I just stand up and scream "Fuck 'em all"

He conceals his hurt and pain because nobody would understand him or may think he's weak .He knows it's up to him and not what others think.

so he says "fuck'em all" and does what he wants.

nah, wayne delivers a mediocre hook. his lyrics are clever but he sounds a little 50 and not the playful weirdo weezy that's made him such an anomaly in the game

em kills it though, can't wait for relapse 2; he's priming us with this and his verse in forever, absolutely dirty

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
