Story of Our Lives Lyrics

Too many places,
Too many faces,
Judging me slightly,
Pushing me sideways,
Gotta prove them wrong, yeah,
Different all along, yeah,
Realising, that we're not the same.

We've gotta make a stand,
You all are in demand,
We need to stand up tall,
If they all have to fall,
We were right all along,
We need to prove them wrong,
We need to prove them wrong.

Raise your hands!
This one last time.
It's time for us!
They'll all see why.
It's time to fight,
Time to make things right.
It's time to tell, the Story of our Lives.

So many times I've walked by,
And never once did they smile,
Rejecting phone calls,
Petty comments about my style.

We've gotta make a stand,
You all are in demand,
We need to stand up tall,
If they all have to fall,
We were right all along,
We need to prove them wrong,
We need to prove them wrong.

Raise your hands!
This one last time.
It's time for us!
They'll all see why.
It's time to fight,
Time to make things right.
It's time to tell, the Story of our Lives.

Raise your hands!
This one last time.
It's time for us!
They'll all see why.
It's time to fight,
Time to make things right.
It's time to tell, the Story of our Lives.

I love this song. ♥ The meaning's pretty straightforward I think. It's about them being fed up of people judging them without knowing much about them, "judging me slightly", and criticising things that aren't to do with their music, "petty comments about my style". They want a chance to show what they are really like, to "tell the story of our lives".
