Totally reminds me of the first time I hung out with my ex after we broke up. It had been months, but for whatever reason, we agreed that we needed to see each other. This song perfectly captures that nostalgic feeling of seeing an old flame, that suppressed hurt that bubbles up, telling yourself not to give in, EVERYTHING. I can't say that I care for this guy anymore (we ended up getting back together, and I can say I got the closure I needed in the first place haha), but damn, this song, musically and lyrically, just fucking does it.
It also reminds me of Jimmy Eat World, which is crazy, because "A Praise Chorus" is what gave me the guts to go after him, anyway. It's sort of like the old me meets the new me haha.

It's great to see how many fans these guys have. I grew up with the members of this band and they're great friends of mine and I remember Zac telling me that he wanted to start a band. Damn can't believe it's been 9 years.
