Broken Open

In my general opinion, "Broken Open" is about the sublimity of confiding in others; here the narrator is reassuring himself as the confider.

To me this song is about not being afraid to show your true self to this one person that has promised to be your confidant. Like he is not going to judge you for who you are and the fear of them knowing should not get in the way, like he has been through that stage in life as well and knows exactly what you are feeling, so he will help you get through this self revelation.

It must be really nice if we can have someone to whom we can show our vulnerable side.

this song is so soothing.. i wasn't too sure abt it at first, but it's grown on me.. and now i totally love it..

I guess this song is about telling the person u love to not be afraid of confiding in u, or be vulnerable with u, because u'd love him anyways..

Yeah, Adam has said he's had people in his life that are socially active but when they're with him they show totally different side of them. He always wondered why is he some kind of therapeutist. This song is his way to tell people it's okay to be a mess and you don't have to perfect, you can be safe with him.

Very personal song for him, for me too.

There are horrible amount of miscorrect lyrics though...

this song talks about adam being with someone who has weakness's and are too afraid to show them around anybody else except him and adam is telling that person that it's ok you can show your broken pieces and i'll hold them together and you can be safe with me because i love more than anything

i love this song it's basically adam telling me that i can cry sometimes and feel like a mess i don't always have to have a brave face on and it's ok

i've said this before and i'll say it again i love love love this song I say it's about adam letting someone close to him know that they can fall apart around him and he's there for them and they'll be safe gosh if i was in something like that with adam i would love to be in his embrace

This song is so different to the rest of the album but it totally works. I just loooooove this song:)
