Sleepwalker Lyrics

I saw a picture of you
Hanging in an empty hallway
I heard a voice that I knew, and I couldn't walk away
It took me back to the end of everything
I tasted all, I tasted all the tears
Again

Outside the rain's falling down
There's not a drop that hits me
Scream at the sky but no sound
Is leavin' my lips
It's like I can't even feel
After the way you touched me
I'm not asleep
But I'm not awake
After the way you loved me

I can't turn this around
I keep running into walls that I can't break down
I said, I just wander around
With my eyes wide shut because of you

I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker
I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker

Let me outta this dream
Everywhere that I go, I see another memory
And all the places we used to know,
They're always there to haunt me
I walk around and I feel so lost and lonely
You're everything that I want
But you don't want me

I can't turn this around
I keep running into walls that I can't break down
I say I just wander around
With my eyes wide shut because of you

I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker
I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker

Let me outta of this dream
Dream
Let me outta of this dream

I can't turn this around
I keep running into walls that I can't break down
I say I just wander around
With my eyes wide shut because of you
I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker
I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker
I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker
I'm a sleepwalker
Walker
Walker

Let me outta of this dream

i love love love this song <3

i think its about a person that loved someone so much but that person doesn't love them or want them back. and the person keeps trying to get to them but they keep running into things that prevent them from getting to the other person. so he just wanders around not paying attention to anything or anyone else around him cuz he can't get his mind off of that person.

i think it's right. he can't forget his love to her/him. and he doesn't live, he doesn't eat, he doesn't sleep. he's like a zombie. he doesn't care about anything but this lost love. he tries to make her/him to come back but he/she doesn't want it.

sometimes i wanna cry when i hear this song. it's awesome and so sentimental

yeah i agree :) at his concert the other night he said something along the lines of 'that last song 'sleepwalker' is about how sometimes love SUCKS, and sometimes it feels like someone has ripped out your heart, thrown it on the ground, poured lighter fluid on it and lit it with a match' So yeah :) thats how he sees the song, which is soo true.

I don't think Adam is still actively running after the man, though. I think this is after the man is already gone, and Adam's still stuck with the memory. This song is all about the aftermath of losing someone you love, and how it always feels like something's wrong. After a huge shock, people often feel like they're disconnected from the world and that there's no real attachment between them and the people around them. Thus, it feels like he's "asleep".

I think it's all about not getting over someone (an ex most likely) and wanting to rid yourself of that obviously emotion or "dream" that's there.

My interpretation of the song is the same with Leasuhhx11's.

I don't know what's so mesmerizing about. But it grew on me pretty fast considering that it's not been repeated on the radio. So in love with it.

it talks about losing someone you love dearly like a breakup and you see all the stuff you did with that person and you want them back but they don't want you and you want to get out of that dream and be with that person
