I think this is one of Ronnie's hidden, analytical, meanings that let's out just enough to show what he's really talking about but hides enough to not say it blatantly. So it sounds like it's about a girl..but really it's not.

Just my take on it though, could be very well wrong and it could be about a cheater. (but when has Ronnie ever been that blunt?)

Its not about max. i think it got released because it fit the situation so well. but i saw in an interview (it was months ago so i can't cite)but ronnie said it was written in an old band and performed and that particular recording was before they made etf. if you compare it to the new songs or even from old etf he does sound young in it. but it does fit perfectly

I'm pretty sure this song is how Ronnie is trying to help out a girl who he went out with. She spread rumors about him and fed him lies and he wants her to stop doing that for her own good.

This song wasn't even written by Ronnie it was written by that Elvis guy and the guy who said it was about Max is a dickhead lol
