Such a great song which addresses a major issue of the time. Heroin addiction. Hence the name hammerhead. It's about being seduced by the affect of "hammer" (heroin). Like a beautiful seductress the you want to spend your life journeying with but will ony lead to self destruction. Well that's my translation anyway. I love the song nonetheless.

This song is a clever disguise. At one level it can be seen as being about love. But it is really about heroin. The slang name in the 90s was 'hammer' Taken this way all the lyrics assume a very different meaning
