To me it sounds like a friend stabbing another friend in the back and spreading rumors about that friend. But that friend who got their backstabbed still wants to be friends with the backstabber but they're angry at teh backstabber. But, I could be completely off. Only WATIC can ever say the true meaning.

Means that he could be telling the female vocalist's secrets to other people just to sound like he's better or he "has the latest".

The female vocalist found out and she's angry. She's telling him to shut his mouth because he doesn't "own the place" and he doesn't know it all.

Means that she can't take another second of all these rumors and lies and she's losing her happy spirit. "These melodies are settling and starting to sting" means that all these rumors are getting to her.

Means that everyone is talking like they think they know her. "Conducting social symphonies" means that they're all excluding her because of these rumors.
